Vigtigt: Genstart din Windows-computer

Overgangen fra at arbejde på AAU til at arbejde hjemme på VPN har desværre givet nogle uforudsete tekniske problemer med AAU’s Software Center til Windows. Derfor er vi desværre nødt til at bede alle ansatte med en Windows AAU-computer om at genstarte denne.

Det er vigtigt, at du foretager en genstart af din Windows-computer og ikke blot slukker og tænder igen.

De problemer vi har nu, er usynlige for dig, men kan fx påvirke opgraderingen af WorkZone-klienten her i weekenden samt øvrige opdateringer.

Vi vil derfor anbefale, at du også mandag morgen genstarter din computer, når WorkZone er tilgængelig efter weekendens opgradering. Det er generelt god praksis, at du jævnligt genstarter, så få endelig begyndt på den gode vane.

Vi beklager ulejligheden, men håber, varsel nu giver dig lejlighed til at genstarte inden eller i løbet af weekenden, så alt virker på din computer, som det skal, når du genoptager arbejdet mandag igen.

Important: Restart your Windows computer

The transition from working at AAU to working from home on VPN has, unfortunately, caused some unexpected technical problems with AAU’s Software Center for Windows.

Therefore, we have to ask all employees with a Windows AAU-computer to restart their computer. It is important that you do a restart of your Windows computer and not just shut it down and then turn it back on.

The problems that we are facing now are invisible to you but may affect the upgrade of the WorkZone Client this weekend, as well as other updates.

Due to this, we also recommend that you restart your computer Monday morning when WorkZone is available after the weekend upgrade. It is a great general practice to regularly restart your computer, so use this opportunity to make it a habit.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope that this notice will give you an opportunity to restart your computer before, or during the weekend, so that everything works as intended when you resume work on Monday.
